Telecommunications Installers are responsible for performing manual labor using hand and power tools.The installer is generally responsible for safety and the safety of those working with them; he/she is also responsible for material handling and job site clean-up as assigned by the supervisor or crew leader.
Telecommunications Installers will usually be assisting crew in underground utility construction and in trenching, digging, pulling and removing material. A Telecommunications Installer will know how to operate power equipment for demolition, concrete removal, grading, truck/dumpster loading, site clean-up and other general tasks using company and/or rental equipment.
The Telecommunications Installer will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining company equipment. A Telecommunications Installer must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects; with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds.
